Attn: Archery Hunters

The Boone County Conservation District (BCCD) will be conducting the archery lottery drawing on June 7, 2018 at starting at 12:00 noon at the Gustafson Nature Center, 603 N. Appleton Rd., Belvidere, IL.

The drawing is open to the public and you are invited to attend.

Archery Hunt Program information has been updated for 2018-2019. Be sure to read the New Stand and Dot Placement Instructions.

Firearm Hunters

The updated Firearm Hunting Program and Lottery Form are now online for 2018-2019. Be sure to register before August 13th at 3:00 pm. This year, you should choose a qualification time when you register.

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF AUDIT REPORT OF BOONE COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT

Boone County Conservation District hereby provides public notice that an audit of its funds for the period April 1, 1016 through March 31, 2017 has been made by WIPFLi cpas and Consultants, 328 W. Stephenson, Freeport, IL 61032, and that a report of such audit dated March 31, 2017 has been filed with the County Clerk of Boone County, Illinois, in accordance with 30 ILCS 15/0.01 et seq. The full report of the audit is available for public inspection at 603 N. Appleton Road, Belvidere, Illinois during regular business hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday except for holidays.

 

Holiday Hours

The Conservation District office will be closed on November 23, November 24, December 22 and the week of December 25 through January 1. We will reopen for business on January 2.

East County Line Conservation Area Dedication – August 26th at 1:00 pm

Please join us for the dedication of the East County Line Conservation Area to public use. There will be a short program, light refreshments and then, following the dedication, we plan to paddle the Kishwaukee River.

At BCCD’s recent board meeting, two new ordinances were passed; Ordinance #127 – Prevailing Wage and Ordinance #129 – Making Appropriations for Corporate Funds for 2017-2018.
