NEW THIS YEAR – TWO DAYS A WEEK!!
Camp Ducktails will be offered TWICE a week on Martes and Jueves for preschool children ages 4 – 5 years. Camp is based out of the Rec Hall in Spencer Conservation Area (1121 N. Appleton Road) and runs from 9:00AM to 11:30AM. Each session a new nature topic is introduced. Campers will go on nature walks, listen to a story, complete a craft, and enjoy a snack. A free camp T-shirt is included with the first registered session.

Camp Ducktails Price REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 1ST
- Boone County Resident: $60 per session. (Each session includes Martes and Jueves.)
- Non-resident: $70 per session.
- Fees are non-refundable after Junio 1st.
- Scholarship: 50% discount – a separate scholarship application must be completed online. You will be notified via email provided if approved. Limited scholarships for all camps are available to qualifying families.

- Week 1: Junio 27th & Junio 29th LUNCH FOR A BEAR
What does a bear eat? Not me! Or you! Campers will learn about the foods that black bears eat and will get a peek into a bear’s lunchbox.
- Week 2: Julio 11th & Julio 13th TRACKS!
Who made these tracks? Tracks are one of the clues animals leave behind. Campers will explore animal tracks and make and compare tracks of their own.
- Week 3: Julio 18th & Julio 20th SPIDER WEB WONDERS
Are you afraid of spiders? You don’t need to be. They are here to help us! Campers will learn about spiders and spider webs. They will even get to make their very own web!
- Week 4: Julio 25th & Julio 27th BACKBONE BONANZA
What is a backbone? Do all animals have one? Do you? Campers will learn about animal backbones and what’s unique about them.
- Week 5: Aug 1st & Aug 3rd WILDLIFE WATER SAFARI
Everybody needs water and lots of animals and insects live in or near the water. Campers will learn why water is important to wildlife and what kinds of animals live near water.
